What we repair

  • Windows laptops and desktops from all the usual brands, including Lenovo, Dell, HP, Asus, Acer and Microsoft Surface.
  • Apple Macs: MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac and Mac mini.
  • Slow machines: start-up clean-ups, failing hard drives and SSD upgrades, which are often the biggest speed boost an older laptop can get.
  • Screens, batteries, keyboards and charging ports, with parts sourced for your exact model.
  • Overheating and fan noise: dust clean-outs and fresh thermal paste.
  • Upgrades: more memory, bigger drives, and moving everything across from your old machine.
  • Custom PC builds for gaming, editing or the home office.

How a repair works

Walk in any weekday between 8:30am and 1pm, or book an afternoon slot online. Tell us what's happening in your own words. There's no need to work out what's wrong first.

We take a proper look and explain what's wrong and what it'll take to fix it before any work starts. If a repair isn't worth it, we'll say so, and we'll help you weigh up a replacement instead. Nothing extra happens without checking with you first.

When you collect, you get a rundown of what was wrong, what we did, and how to stop it happening again.

Is it worth repairing?

Often, yes. A new SSD, a battery or a clean-up can give a four- or five-year-old laptop years more life for a fraction of the price of a new one. Sometimes it isn't, and we'll tell you honestly. Our guide Is my laptop worth repairing? covers how to decide.

If a replacement makes more sense, have a look at our refurbished laptops. We check, clean and wipe every one on our own bench.

Common questions

Do I need an appointment?

Not in the mornings. Walk in weekdays between 8:30am and 1pm. Afternoons from 1:30pm to 5pm are for booked appointments, which you can book online or by calling 021 622 815.

Do you fix Macs?

Yes. We repair Apple MacBooks, iMacs and Mac minis as well as Windows laptops and desktops.

Will I know the cost before you start?

Yes. We explain what's wrong and what the fix involves before touching anything, and nothing extra happens without your OK.

Will I lose my files?

Most repairs don't touch your files at all. If a job involves the drive, we talk you through it first and can back everything up beforehand.

Not sure what's wrong? That's our job.
